Today the CDT training programme launched its CDT Journal Club. The CDT students were joined by Professor Bill Davies (Salford – Director of LAURA with research interests in aural diversity, soundscape and acoustics) to discuss and explore his thought-provoking co-authored paper “Ten questions concerning autism and auditory accessibility in buildings.”
Chaired by Dr Simone Graetzer, the session sparked rich discussions around aural diversity, inclusive design, research methodologies, and the nuances of authorship.
Next month, Prof Charlotte Clark will join the students to share her insights on the harms of environmental noise — a vital topic in shaping healthier, better sounding spaces.
